Ice Bridge 2010

This year I discovered the ice bridge on the Ottawa River and what a jewel it is! Well, let me re-phrase: I didn't discover it, I knew it existed, but I actually used it for the first time this year.

The ice bridge is smooth, straight, no traffic and no line-up like the ferry. It also saves me even more time and mileage than the ferry. And yes, it is safe!

Unfortunately, after only using it about a dozen time, the mild winter weather meant the ice bridge was shut down early. :-( Now I have to wait until April for the ferry to open.
