The night before the shower Cameron and Kevin had a father-son night at the cottage while I finished cleaning and decorating the house.
All ready for guests to arrive...
Here is the guest of honour...SURPRISE!!! Turns out she knew...the male counterpart of one of the guests read the return address of the invitation while Shannon and Mike happened to be visiting and asked, "who is Marjorie XXXX?" Mike tried his best, but his efforts were foiled!
NOW Cameron remembers Shannon...LOL!!

Darcy liked these sparkly shoes...do I predict a shoe fetish in the future, like Mama???
While Cameron and Maya "helped" Shannon open her gifts, Darcy slept.
Kevin took Mike out for an afternoon of playing pool while the ladies and children enjoyed my mom's delicious bridal punch, lots of finger sandwiches (thank you Mom and Bev!), veggies and dip, and my phyllo treats, among other things. There were also about a half dozen kinds of homemade squares and the heart-shaped cake (Mom, again), which was vanilla with cream cheese icing...scrumptious!!!
We played 5 or 6 silly games for prizes. You can see clothespins on some people in a couple of the pics...everybody started with 3 and if they said "bride" or "wedding", they had to give up a clothespin to the first person to call them out. We had a Married TV couples quiz, which turned out pretty hard!

I think everyone had fun, I know I did! Shannon and Mike ended up visiting for a while and spending the night, which we were really happy about!
