March 12, 2020
Darcy and I returned to school on Tuesday March 10.
The night of Thursday March 12, school was cancelled the next day.
March 14, 2020
March 15, 2020 The province began shutting down. School was closed for 2 weeks.
Translation:
bars and discos closed
resturant offering buffets and sugar shacks closed
other restaurant must offer physical distancing, so there can only operate at 50% capacity
take-out & delivery remains open
March 17, 2020: The situation across Canada

March 24, 2020
As of midnight all non-priority/essential commerces must reduce their activities to the minimum
working from home is allowed
if you do not work in a priority/essential service you must stay home as much as possible.
However these activities are allowed:
walking outdoors
playing with your children outdoors
doing groceries or essential errands for yourself or a vulnerable person
You must respect these precautions:
keepp your distance
no gatherings
wash your hands
This is not the time for gathering with friends or family
March 25, no baking supplies

The situation continues to worsen

Police controlling the roads between certain areas
Provincial police are securing the American/Canadian border
Any person enter the country must isolate for 14 days
No visits to nursing homes. Also residents of nursing home cannot leave without supervision
Non-essential travel between regions is forbidden
Avoid Montreal and the Eastern Townships
You cannot go to your cottage. No cottage rentals are allowed.

My reaction to the restriction of cottages
April will be a quiet month...
March 31, 2020 - the shelves remain empty... Kevin and I had to split up to find TP. I searched all of Lachute without luck. Kevin found some in another town.
